Candidate must be able to produce fast-paced, hard-hitting newscasts, understand basic producing functions including rundowns, newscast timing and meeting production needs. Will work with anchors and reporters, editing, writing, and show layouts for the newscast. Other duties will include writing and editing stories to the website and social media.
Duties required, but not limited to: working knowledge of the news gathering process, strong news judgment and the ability to frame stories effectively. This person must be able to assist in building stories for newscasts that are relevant to viewers. Knowledge of proper grammar is a must. This person must thrive under pressure, able to make quick decisions and adapt to last-minute changes.
A four-year college or university degree and/or previous experience in television, print, or web newsroom.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
