JOB SUMMARY
This position involves working in a creative environment with the WTVA News department, WTVA sales representatives,
advertising clients and other Creative Services personnel to build impactful and results driven commercial campaigns as
well as helping build promotional and commercial content for WTVA/WLOV and our digital platforms. The ideal
candidate will also provide support for all of the station’s internal and community focused promotions and events.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
Take creative projects from concept to completion in a solo or collaborative project environment.
Work hands-on with WTVA clients to write, shoot, edit, and produce long and/or short-form commercial content.
Must have professional demeanor and appearance.
Must work professionally with clients and account executives.
Create station image and topical promotions under the direction of the Creative Services Director and Creative
Services Assistant Director for all stations.
Assist Creative Services Department with special projects and duties related to station’s marketing and promotions
efforts.
Other duties as assigned by the Creative Services Director or Station General Manager.
SKILLS REQUIRED/QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate
Shooting video – skilled in or knowledge of lighting, photography, shooting video, microphones, set design
Editing – skilled in or knowledge of editing software, writing and data software, graphic design
Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Computer proficiency (foundation for learning operations of various programs and software)
Scheduling flexibility
A licensed driver and insurable for motor vehicles
Strong organizational, time management and verbal communication skills
Interest in and knowledge of current programming from WTVA, WLOV, NBC, ABC and FOX
Ability to perform under deadline pressure
Ability and willingness to work occasional odd hours for special evening or weekend events
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Passing a drug screen and background check is a pre-employment requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while
performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in
moderate noise. This is a moderate stress-related position with constant interruptions, last minute changes and
inquiries. Working past normal business hours may be required to make sure all projects are completed in a timely
manner. Normal working hours for this position are from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday however
weekend, holiday and after-hours work is sometimes required. On job training will be provided if candidate meets the
majority of minimum requirements.
