JOB SUMMARY

WLBT in Jackson, MS is seeking a Meteorologist to join our First Alert Weather team. The ideal

candidate will be a degreed Meteorologist who can use the most advanced tools to tell a weather

story. This is a highly active weather market and WLBT is and WLBT is the dominant weather leader

with a brand-new storm tracker vehicle. There will be plenty of stories to tell, in the studio, in front

of the green screen, and LIVE in the Storm Tracker.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Present weather information across all platforms

• Live weather reports in the studio and in the field

• Actively engaged in social media platforms

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in meteorology or atmospheric science is preferred

• Education or training in broadcast journalism or communications

• Flexibility in schedule
